Why does my VLC Player can't play mkv or rmvb files? - undf vlc
When I play RMVB and MKV files, which reads:
VLC does not support audio or video, "UNDP". Unfortunately, there is no way to solve this problem.
No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support audio or video format "RV40". Unfortunately, there is no way to solve this problem.
I read much of what VLC plays all types of files.

RMVB format is a real player. The video codec is compressed with RealPlayer. The way to solve the problem, is a codec plug-in RealPlayer, VLC, as appropriate. If you do not need it to download RealPlayer to view the file.
You can try with MPlayer.
