You should always clean the edge of the tub before the mosaic. The seal must adhere to the bathtub, not the Earth. Scraped off and as far as possible and clean with an abrasive cleaner like Bon Ami or Bar Keepers Friend. Be sure to rinse and dry thoroughly before sealing.

Remove it from a single edge razor blade. A small but intensive work is more beautiful finish.
